My daughter

It is Thursday afternoon and last night I called my daughter to see how things were going and my gut feeling is, she is trying to sell me snake oil and I'm not buying it.   She needs to realize that I am much older than she is and have been around long enough to know when someone is putting me on.   I think that whatever is going on she can tell me and I'm not going to have a heart attack or sit around  and worry myself to an early grave.   If she is reading this right now......LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER!!!!!

October 4th

We are finally back from Cape Cod and Nebraska  The wedding in Chatham, MA was very beautiful, an absolutely picture perfect day.  The groom wore flipflops and the bride and her attendants wore sandals.  The bride had a beautiful gown, no headpiece and the groom and his attendants wore light tan suits.   The brunch was fabulous!!!   One very long table held different kinds of seafood....oysters, clams, shrimp, etc., another table held prime rib, all kinds of muffins, breads, fruit, potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and a variety of small desserts, plus champagne. Sometime around three in the afternoon, the wedding couple cut their cake, which was strawberry and white cake.   Everyone met on the beach around 7 pm where another buffet was served which consisted of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken breasts, three different kinds of salads, a couple different kinds of potato salad, fruit and again, many small desserts.  Need to mention there was an open bar starting at 10 am and was still going at 10 pm that night....all free!!!! Don't want to know how much that wedding cost.  We drove up to the National Seashore one day and into Provincetown, another day we took the ferry to Nantucket...nice place to visit but very expensive.  We took pictures of the Kennedy compound, just didn't have enough time to do all the things we had hoped to do.   My husband and his brother finally got to have their lobster on our last night in Hyannis......they each got a two pound lobster....market value that day was $49.00.   The week in Nebraska went well, both sisters were happy to see each other and we think it did them both good to get together.   Well, we are home for a couple of weeks and then we are off for a 12 day Mediterranean Cruise, leaving Oct. 25th and back home on November 9th.
